The compost we use is coarse sand, leaf mould and peat moss with slow release fertiliser high in Nitrogen.

The bulbs are fleshy and need protection from severe frost.

Keep an eye out for snails and slugs.

After flowering, each bulb forms from the flower stem.

Leaves turn yellow and bulbs become dormant in Winter.
