This is a deciduous shrub.

In spring, it has flat heads of spirea-type white/pink flowers about 7cm across.

Gorgeous purple foliage that can be used in vases.

The older shrub's branches self peel, revealing different colours of bark underneath; hence the name 'Ninebark'.

Height to 3m. Width to 2.4m.

Full sun to part shade.

Frost tolerant and drought hardy.
